A lot of people asked me to make tutorials in english how to make themes. Well, k-rlitos.com is the first and largest page in support on this in Spanish, but in english there a lot lot lot lot of resources.

But some advices to begin.

Easy Way:

To make simple and easy themes you need 2 programs and some extra resources.

First Easy Windows Style Designer, this program was made by k-rlitos.com, it’s absolutely free, but you must register to unlock all features (free). You can watch the videos in the page of the program to know how to use. This program just make the msstyle file (windows Skin).

Second, resources, a lot of them, sounds, cursors, wallpapers, etc…

Third, Dot Theme Creator, made by k-rlitos.com, this program makes theme file, this file is a file to tell to windows where are the resources like sounds, wallpapers, screensaver, styles, etc, and some extra features like trasparency and window color. Additionally you can save the package as installer or zip to distribute. Also Free, and registration required.

Advanced Way:

Ok, this takes a lot of time for beginners, to advanced users … too. You need Style Builder 7, photoshop or similar. You can follow some videos advices, but they are only in Spanish. At this moment I don’t have tutorials in English, but in youtube there are a lot of them. Just search with tags “style builder windows 7” or “win7 style builder” and watch some videos, also works in google. Also you can ask on our forums (don’t worry, we also speak english and our advanced users also, or that we think…)

But there are an alternative, a new program by k-rlitos.com to apply NON aero styles to these SO.
